Volunteers and donors make access to art possible.  You understand the power of art and you want others to benefit from that power.  Your gifts create valuable spaces in our classrooms and support our community art engagement program.

Art makes us happy, inspires us, helps us express ourselves and understand each other, comforts us, and makes us strong.  Art adds beauty to life and connects us to the earth.  Art relieves stress and can provide a path to self understanding and self acceptance.  Everyone deserves to have access to the power of art.

The primary goal of the Pointe-Saint-Charles Art School is to provide access to art.  We do this through our classes, community art engagement programs, and art therapy centre.

The whole of society benefits from the local development of art when it feeds a diversity of living voices into a global cultural identity where it can influence ideas and the future.

We are looking for financial partners who want to support access to art as culture, community connection, personal development and therapy.  If your organization shares our enthusiasm you can help us grow by making a contribution to fund accessible spaces in our regular classes, art therapy sessions, and community classes.  If your organization is interested in knowing more about us in order to provide regular support we would be happy to extend an invitation to meet with us.

OUR SUPPORTERS  Who give of their time and means to share access to art

All humans benefit from making art.  The decisions, physical actions, and visible consequences of the creative process are at the same time a work outside the self and a work on the self.  The questions that arise when developing a work of art often echo the questions of daily life, like; Who am I?  Why do I feel the way I do?  What do I want?  An artwork is a place to explore and express these questions and is capable of releasing and containing its expression.  The finished artwork represents not only the technical skills achieved, the subject better understood, but also a stage of personal development and confidence attained.  The teachers, students, and staff at the Pointe-Saint- Charles Art School take part in this process communally, each individual bringing their unique perspective to the studio for the benefit of all.
